Remarried Empress is the story of an Empress, Navier Eli Trovi, who was pushed out of her position by the Emperor’s Mistress, Rashta. Emperor Sovieshu met Rashta on a hunting trip when she “accidentally” fell into an animal trap. Sovieshu was smitten by her the second he saw her. He became infatuated with her enough to bring her back to the castle. And makes her his official mistress.
All of this was done without the knowledge of Navier. Even though it’s not out of the ordinary for an Emperor to take a mistress, however, there is no regulation claiming the Empress has to be friends with her. Even though Rashta might seem like a sweet and innocent girl, she is nothing but as Captain Holt once said, Sweet as Poison Pie.
Rashta is very rude and tries to agitate people. When they react to her taunts, she starts crying and gains sympathy from others framing the instigator as the victim. Furthermore, it is revealed that she constantly lies to get what she wants, and when caught, she resorts to her usual antics. It looks like Rashta is not happy with her what she’s got. Even though she is not interim empress and is pregnant with Sovieshu’s child.
She comes up to Naiver under the guise of congratulating her on her wedding but it was to push her buttons. She remarked how they are of the same equal standing now and are sisters. However, Naiver told her that this is not the case and that she call the other women Sovieshu might bring to the castle her sister. Rashta takes it too far by revealing to everyone how Naiver is infertile.
Her ladies-in-waiting were outraged and almost attacked her. However, Napier’s brother was just within earshot and came to her aid. He asks Naiver about her status as a slave and even claims to have slave trade papers of Rashta with him. Rashta was shocked beyond measure but walked away nonetheless. Back in Eastern Empire Rashta is yelling at Viscount Lotteshu.
Rashta used to be a slave who worked at Viscount Lotteshu Manor. She even had a child with him. Rashta allegedly ran away from her master. This would mean the rumors about her being a runaway slave were indeed the truth. But Rashta made a deal with Viscount Lotteshu for his maintained silence on the matter. But after that day he plans to teach her a lesson. By the looks of it, he plans to use the child she had with him against her.
